CTMH *squeal*
Ok, so my exciting news is this... I have signed up to be a CTMH (that's Close to My Heart) consultant! CTMH have a fantastic range of papers, stamps and accessories to create with. One of the things I love are the kits that they put together (Workshop on the Go), with all co-ordinated products and even layout designs. I have no photo's yet, but I will put some up tomorrow.

CKCB August 2014
We had a few options to choose from this month as we are counterfeiting Studio Calico's Penny Arcade. I liked the look of the Card Kit, but I didn't really have any papers to use for this kit.
This is the card kit:
Starting with the Cardstock:
Craftables White
Craftables Baby Pink
Craftables Cameo Cream
Rosies Studio Kraft
Rosies Studio Dark Grey
Then my embellishments:
Coral Pink Polka Dot Washi Tape
American Craft Glitter Tape
American Craft Chevron Black and White
American Craft Black and White Bakers Twine
CTMH Gold Shimmer Trim
and the little bits:
Red Die Cut Doily (Coutoure Creations Die)
Various Buttons
Punched Stars Gold Cardstock
Die Cut Cloud Stencil
Kindy Glitz/Stickles Variety
and all my counterfeited Papers (I did a 6 x 6 pad)
I used Gold Cardstock and then stamped CTMH Oodles of Doodles circle in Versamark then heat embossed White ZING powder
I used White Craftables Cardstock Cut to size, then black pen dots, coloured roughly with Spectrum Noir CR3. CR5 and CR7
I used Dafodil Yellow Craftables Cardstock cut to size, then 2cm strips of Trophee Chamois stuck down in 2cm intervals
I used Rosies Studio pale blue cardstock cut to size, then Versamagic White Cloud Chalk ink rubbed in cloudlike shapes. Then using black pen drew eyes and mouth. Then with my little pinky, I stamped Momento Rose Bud ink to make the cheeks.
I used Kraft Craftables Cardstock cut to size, then used a Spellbinder scallop border die to cut Trophee white linen cardstock.
I used Craftables Riverstone Cardstock cut to size, then stamped feathers in Black Versafine ink onto White Craftables Cardstock and fussy cut them to stick randomly on the cardstock. The thinner feather is from Amy Tangerine and the other is from a magazine
I went through my stamps to choose some for the kit, but couldn't decide, so will just use what ones I need/want to use through the month!

Julies Birthday 2014
It's always funny trying to come up with a different card for someone, especially when they make cards too! I had heaps of fun colouring this Lili of the Valley stamp, and layered up papers. The tricky part is on the inside....
Richard Birthday Card 2014
I was really happy to have a go with a cityscape die, and used it to make a card for Richards birthday. I inked the clouds onto the background, and then added 4 cityscapes in white, light grey, dark grey and black. I loved how it looked, but it needed a little something extra, so Jack asked me to put in a plane... This is what I came up with.

Jessica's 8th birthday Card
I wanted to something special for Jessica, she is an amazing girl who is very creative and loves making cards. So when Christy at TiddlyInks sent an email to let everyone know that she was having a sale on her acrylic stamps, I ordered the "Wrynn - Hanging Around" that I wanted and a few fairies and dragons. I had to use the "Fairy Happy Day" stamp for Jessica because it is so cute, and I know she appreciates the fact I have made it just for her.
I used Momento to stamp up the fairy, and the impression was crisp and clear right from the first stamp. I added extra colour into the daisies rather than leaving them white, and found the design of the fairy fabulous to colour! She just came to life very easily. I decided to make it a pink card because I wanted to use the pretty pink flowers, and colour matched my paper and cardstock accordingly. Jessica is a Kindy Glitz kind of girl, so I used it on the daisies and her magical wings!
I had so much fun making this card, and cant wait to try out the other stamps that I ordered! If you like the image, you can purchase directly from the artist at: http://www.tiddlyinks.com/ but remember that at the moment it is only digital stamps available until September.
I also used some of the paper to make a gift bag to co-ordinate with the card!
Happy Birthday Jess, I hope that you like your card, as much as I did making it!

CKCB - July Kit 2014

I have added black so that I can make some chalkboard embellishments. I have no idea which company produced the cardstock, but I am inclined to say that they are Rosies Studio. I dont really like yellow, so I have excluded this from my version of the kit!

Now to get that first challenge done! xxx
I admit it....
I have been a bit slack lately! I didn't realise how long it had been since I have posted a blog... Life has a way of getting away sometimes, and I would love to say that I have still been crafting and just not posting - but the reality is that I haven't really been doing much on the creative side of things. In April, I started working again. It's only part time, but losing those few hours really impacted on my creativity! I refuse to use this as an excuse though, so I am jumping back in - BOOTS and all! xxx

about a pet and tell the story from your pet’s point of view. IW: style,
fancy hope. “Hi there! My owners call me Samson Stinky West, but I
prefer if you call me good boy! I live
in a house with my two meowing puppies and masters and my three miniature food
holders. I love it when other food
holders come into the house and bark to let everyone know that someone is here
to see me WOOF! I am not a fancy dog
breed, but the evil stabbing man said that I am a Jack Russell, Kelpie cross –
not sure what that means, but my master says I am very clever and full of
energy. My master grooms me, and makes
sure my fur style is trendy. I love to
steal food from the kitchen, and prefer to drink from the white porcelain
bowl. Thinking of food, I hope I can get
some soon…”

Little Pigs. I love that he has a
favourite as it makes life simple to not have to choose a story every night –
he just grabs the book and hops straight into bed. I just love to read this story to him, and I
use different voices as the narrator, the wolf and the piggies. Riley adds in lines from the story and is
great at huffing and puffing! Last night
we got to the first little pig and Riley told me, “if I lived there, I would
let the wolf in…” I explained to him, “but sweetie, the wolf wants to EAT the piggy” I will never forget the look on his face when
he asked me, “Wolves don’t eat kids though… Aye Mummy?” I smiled and said, “No, honey, wolves don’t eat
kids”. Luckily he hasn't heard the story
of the boy who cried wolf!

Counterfeit Kit Club - February Kit 2014
Wow! I am running so behind on my challenges, but thought that I would still join in this month with a counterfeit kit challenge - better late than never? I really love this kit, the colours and the patterns really appeal to me! This is the kit that we are counterfeiting for the month. It is by:
I started off with some cardstock as that is what I use for my base sheet when I craft, and these are the colours I pulled out of my stash:
I didn't have many papers in the correct colours or patterns, but that's ok, I have a huge stamp collection and ink collection for this reason!
From top to bottom they are:
Counterfeited: White Cardstock stamped with a variety of hearts using: Momento Rose Pink, Angel Pink, Sky Blue and Versacolour Sand Beige
Counterfeited: White Cardstock with punched hearts glued and then stitched
Counterfeited: White Cardstock stamped with arrows (Same colours as above with Momento Grey Flannel as well)
Bo Bunny white with black polka dot
Sugar and Spice "Hollywood" chevron
For my embellishments, I Counterfeited:
Black Chalboard peices using black cardstock, white embossing powder and Versamagic White cloud ink and a white souffle pen for definition. I then die cut shapes to suit each picture
Die cut hearts in a selection of sizes and colours
Pink, silver and red sequin scatters (no holes in them)
White and pink heart pins
Jar stamped and coloured and hearts stuck on and bakers twine around the neck of the jar
Polaroid frame in pink with a white banner stamped with love you and a punched mini heart
Vellum stamped in red brilliance hearts
and a scrap of paper with a jar (Dear Lizzy pad originally)
and the rest of the embellishments:
Counterfeited Chevron bag
Black Pearls
"Fly Away" paper scrap
Black and white spots and stripes scraps
White doily
This is how I keep the embellishments while I am working with them (along with a couple of ribbons, washi tapes and punches):
This time, I also thought I would chuck in a couple of extra Kaisercraft stamp sets:
I hope that you have enjoyed looking at my kit - I had heaps of fun counterfeiting this month!
