Jilliane made some pretty flowers

Sometimes it can be hard to vote up with ideas, but Jilliane stamped these beautiful flowers and made them into cards:

I love the bright colours,  especially in this cold weather!

I made a card This week at Crafting with Chrissy which I love how it turned out. Have a look at it on my other blog Crafty Chrissy CTMH

Wednesday crafting at GCC

Today at the Glenfield Community Centre,  we created a layered card in blues and pink.   I love these colours together and the blue matt really highlights all three inks. I did second generation stamping to get two shades of pink and two shades of blue.

Inks used: CTMH pacifica, CTMH Glacier,  CTMH Pixie
Cardstock used: White Daisy and Pacifica
Stamps used: CTMH  SOM a happy hello

I had some time to play with the inks and I created a bokeh technique card as well.

This is a very simple technique to master.   The best way to do it is to create a template of circles. I made mine out of recycled packages that my dies came in.  Then I used three different circle dies to cut circles. I ink through the circles using ink and sponges. When I get a few colours down, I leave it to dry for a few minutes before I use an applicator with white Daisy ink.

Glenfield Community Centre Wednesday

We had a fun kit to make up last week,  using CTMH taste of summer stamp set and soe red card stock,  bakers twine and washing tape. This is the design that I came up with:

The strawberries are made from felt and we're taught to me yet a friend who makes beautiful felt creations.

Embroidery Hoop

I did a demonstration for Spotlight, and wanted to showcase some of the great things they sell that might not be designed for scrapbooking.  I used an embroidery hoop,  making a circle layout that can be used to decorate your home.

I used Kaisercraft Blu Belle paper,  and tore the paper rather than cutting.  All the roses were hand rolled after tearing spirals.  Lots of layers,  stickers and some die cut leaves finished off this layout. When I stuck down the pieces, I left the edges so that I could curl them up.

The edge of the hoop has a strip of paper that I cut slightly wider than I needed and then folded back. I just love the hint of brown on the reverse side of the blue.

I only did this one hoop,  but I can imagine a cluster of these with different photos and different sizes of hoops.

CTMH *squeal*

Ok, so my exciting news is this...  I have signed up to be a CTMH (that's Close to My Heart) consultant!  CTMH have a fantastic range of papers, stamps and accessories to create with.  One of the things I love are the kits that they put together (Workshop on the Go), with all co-ordinated products and even layout designs.  I have no photo's yet, but I will put some up tomorrow.

CKCB August 2014

We had a few options to choose from this month as we are counterfeiting Studio Calico's Penny Arcade.  I liked the look of the Card Kit, but I didn't really have any papers to use for this kit.

This is the card kit:

http://www.studiocalico.com/kits/penny-arcade-card-kit

Starting with the Cardstock:

Craftables White
Craftables Baby Pink
Craftables Cameo Cream
Rosies Studio Kraft
Rosies Studio Dark Grey

Then my embellishments:
Coral Pink Polka Dot Washi Tape
American Craft Glitter Tape
American Craft Chevron Black and White
American Craft Black and White Bakers Twine
CTMH Gold Shimmer Trim

and the little bits:
Red Die Cut Doily (Coutoure Creations Die)
Various Buttons
Punched Stars Gold Cardstock
Die Cut Cloud Stencil
Kindy Glitz/Stickles Variety

and all my counterfeited Papers (I did a 6 x 6 pad)

I used Gold Cardstock and then stamped CTMH Oodles of Doodles circle in Versamark then heat embossed White ZING powder

I used White Craftables Cardstock Cut to size, then black pen dots, coloured roughly with Spectrum Noir CR3. CR5 and CR7

I used Dafodil Yellow Craftables Cardstock cut to size, then 2cm strips of Trophee Chamois stuck down in 2cm intervals

I used Rosies Studio pale blue cardstock cut to size, then Versamagic White Cloud Chalk ink rubbed in cloudlike shapes.  Then using black pen drew eyes and mouth.  Then with my little pinky, I stamped Momento Rose Bud ink to make the cheeks.

I used Kraft Craftables Cardstock cut to size, then used a Spellbinder scallop border die to cut Trophee white linen cardstock.

I used Craftables Riverstone Cardstock cut to size, then stamped feathers in Black Versafine ink onto White Craftables Cardstock and fussy cut them to stick randomly on the cardstock.  The thinner feather is from Amy Tangerine and the other is from a magazine

I went through my stamps to choose some for the kit, but couldn't decide, so will just use what ones I need/want to use through the month!

Julies Birthday 2014

It's always funny trying to come up with a different card for someone, especially when they make cards too! I had heaps of fun colouring this Lili of the Valley stamp, and layered up papers.  The tricky part is on the inside....
